Education is one of the biggest ways to overcome poverty. The aim of the Ehsaas scholarship program was to provide assistance to those students who could not pursue higher education.
Only 0.4% of 10% of students go to and continue higher education. The other remaining students cannot go to higher institutions due to their low income.
The government of Pakistan launched the Ehsaas scholarship program to accommodate financially deserving students and encourage them to have equal rights with other students.
This strategy would allow a large number of young people to enter higher education and have equal educational opportunities.
Objectives of the EHSAS Program Scholarship
The objective of the Ehsaas Scholarship Program was to provide support to those students who have completed F.A/F. S.C. but are not able to continue their education further due to their limited financial resources. It inspires those students who have stopped studying due their limited financial resource.
The aim of the scholarship program is to lift poor families out of poverty by targeting weaker students. The Ehsaas program is a major step in all major institutions like agriculture, medicine, engineering, and social sciences, which are included in the university tuition fees for four to five years.
The government of Pakistan reserved 50% of the Ehssas Scholarship program for female students to support their education. A 2% scholarship was reserved for disabled people to encourage them.
